Chloe King Art
Chloe KingI was born in Napier, spending my early childhood here, and thirty years later I returned with my own family. We have settled in Clive, just south of Napier, where I have my studio and gallery set in a lovely spacious garden.
My paintings are mostly Deco-themed with the popular Napier Deco festivities supplying endless inspiration. I use acrylic paint on stretched canvas, accenting the figures with oil pastel which gives the paintings the vigorous lively feel of a drawing.
The ceramics are hand-built small scale pieces, brightly decorated and high-fired to 1200 degrees Celsius.
Visitors are very welcome to call into my gallery which is open most days from 10am to 3pm. I am happy to open outside these hours, but please contact me first.
